JodieWhalen works within a multidisciplinary practice of experimental performance, video, sound, photography and installation. Repetition, and replication of imagery, forms, sounds and motifs are harnessed to explore how meaning moves through, and translates between forms, through transformation. Signifying emotions and internal landscapes as epehmera in flux, connecting the physical and metaphysical experiences of existence, reminding us of Time Immemorial and time beyond our own futures.
Whalen has just completed an artist residency at Parramatta Artists’ Studios Rydalmere and has recently shown new work in a solo exhibition at Yarrila Arts and Museum Coffs Harbour, Museum of Contemporary Art, Australia,  Artspace Sydney, NAS Galleries, Parramatta Lanes Festival, Performance Space – Live Dreams, BLEED Festival and QAGOMA APT10.
