Wantaya Thitipaisal, known as Arm Wantaya, is a self-taught artist from Nonthaburi, Thailand. After graduating from Raffles Design College in Bangkok in 2006, he continued his studies in Multimedia at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He worked in the advertising industry before leaving the field in 2018 to focus entirely on his artistic practice.
Working across multiple disciplines, Wantaya explores themes of dialogue and assimilation, drawing on subjects that range from the mundanity of everyday life to complex socio-political issues. His works function as intimate reflections of his personal observations and awareness, often balancing subtle narrative with broader cultural commentary.
Wantaya has presented solo exhibitions including StageFright at Richard Koh Fine Art in Singapore and Bangkok (2023–2024), and Unnecessary Drama at River City Bangkok (2022). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions across Thailand, including presentations at M Contemporary, Richard Koh Fine Art, The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon, and Chiang Mai Design Week. Internationally, his early work was included in the Melbourne Animation International Festival.
His work has been featured in publications such as L’Officiel Hommes Thailand and Harper’s Bazaar Art Thailand.
